Actually using an AED or administering CPR during a medical emergency can seem daunting at first. Our clear and concise half-day course will cover all the basics, including how to assess and support the patient and call for help, as well as how to use the machine, monitor the patient and then hand the situation over to the emergency services.
Your half-day course will also cover how to assess whether a patient is in need of CPR procedure and how to carry it out safely until medical help arrives. You will also look at how to deal with choking and shock, as well as the ways that CPR differs for adults, children and babies. Our highly-trained teachers will also explain how to how to spot the early signs of a patient requiring emergency AED or CPR attention. Final assessment and formal accreditation (via Qualifications Network) will take place through practical observation of the methods taught during the course.
