How long is the SIA Door Supervisor Course?
The Door Supervisor course is a 6 day course that is mandatory to complete before applying for the SIA licence.
What qualifications do I need to be a Door Supervisor?
To become a SIA Door Supervisor course, you need an SIA Door supervisor licence. You will need to take Door Supervisior training course to apply for the licence. It is also mandatory to have a first aid qualification before you start your training course.
What changes are happening to the SIA Door Supervisor Training course from 1/42021?
From April 1st this course will become a 6 day course instead of a 4 day course. In addition, you must have a first aid qualification before you can take the training. This should be an Emergency First Aid at work certificate or higher. Please find more information on the government website or in our helpful blog post.
Does the course fee include SIA License application fee?
The course fee does not include the licence fee. The licence application fee of £190 is payable to directy to the SIA when applying for the licence – which is valid for three years.
I want to work as a Security Guard, is the course right for me?
Yes, you may work as a security guard if you hold a Security guard licence, however will not be allowed to work as a Door Supervisor if you hold a security guard licence.
This makes Door Supervisor course more valuable.
Tesco/Asda and now most shopping centres are licenced premises reducing the possibility of working at different sites.
When will I receive my results?
Bridge Training UK are proud to provide you with a ‘Faster Results’ service for selected courses and locations. Receive your results within just 5 working days after your course is completed. Our aim is to notify you on the same day the training provider sends us your results. Your results will be available online and we’ll also send you an SMS to inform you when your results are available.
Do I have to complete the e-learning?
E-Learning is madatory and must be completed before the course by logging on to https://teach.bridgetraininguk.co.uk
I have lost my certificate, can I get a replacement certificate?
A replacement certificate can be issued for £30.
